AREA OF PRACTICES:
Upon graduation from Waseda University with BS in commerce, Hiro started his career with the international division of Bridgestone Corporation. Then he moved to health services management field with Medi Co-op, a healthcare management consultancy in Japan. He then attended graduate school of Cornell University to obtain his master’s degree in policy analysis & management. At Cornell he also completed Sloan Program in Health Services Administration. He developed his global professional career as a management consultant with Hay Management Consultants, an international management consultancy. As an entrepreneur he founded, grew substantially and sold CareBrains, Inc. to a public company in Japan.
Running parallel with these experience, Hiro’s professional practices have encompassed strategy, human resource development, health services system design, technology management and entrepreneurship. He currently integrates his expertise into practices of management consulting, business implementation and the activities in academia. His industry experience includes pharmaceutical, medical device, hospital, telecommunication, consumer electronics, automobile, not-for-profit organization, institutions of higher education, software and open source software. He has consulted with multi-national corporations headquartered in the United States, Europe and Japan.
He was a member of the Japanese government cabinet research team on social services innovation from 2008 to 2009. He has so far published thirteen books based on his expertise and practices.
